Sherry's Pear Leatherpear2

6 cups of ripe pears.  Peeled, cored and cut into chunks.
2 inch piece of freshly grated ginger
Juice of one lime
1 ripe banana  ( optional)
½ tsp celtic sea salt.
½ cup of chopped filberts or almonds.

Process all the ingredients in a food processor until fairly smooth.
Pour fruit onto a teflex sheet or on the shiny side of freezer paper.
(Saran wrap on a baking sheet will work, put I find it difficult to peel off)  Sprinkle nuts on each pear mixture.
Place in dehydrator or in a convection oven with a temperature setting of 140 degrees for the first two hours.  Lower the temperature to 119 degrees and continue drying until the pear leather peels off the paper easily.   Store in airtight container.
